The St. Francisville Transitory Theatre proudly presents
You Can't Take It With You
written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, as directed by Andrew Farrier
The St. Francisville Transitory Theatre began with a bang with its production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). The show was performed and directed by founding members James Lanius, Karley Ferguson, Ty Nichols, and Zach Owens, initially as an Eagle Scout project that took to the roads, donating to charity and supporting future endeavors. Adding classics such as Shakespeare's The Tempest and Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians to its repertoire, the theatre dug its roots deeper in the St. Francisville region and has since grown to attract performers and audience members from outlying areas.
This comedy, written in the 1930s, illuminates the eccentricities of the Sycamore family in conflict with "normal" society. The St. Francisville Transitory Theatre's unique performance of this show includes the St. Francisville Transitory Theatre Musicians, who highlight the action on stage.
You Can't Take It With You ran from July 18th-21st and 25th-28th at the Bayou Sara Market (next to Que Pasa Restaurant) in St. Francisville. |
